FOREVER LOYAL TO MY LOVE-BROCCOLI!

I think i am too addicted to the greens. =X Without eating my daily dose of at least 2 bowls of veggies, i feel disgusting already! So i got meemee to get my NO.1 fav-ed veggie! BROCCOLI! And guess what, my second TOP veggie is CABBAGE! And yes, BROCCOLI is part of the cabbage family! =0)

I LOVE MY BROCCOLI half-cooked! Boiled with water with a lil bit of salt and after that, place the half-cooked broccoli into COLD water! Drained and tadah, IT'S YUMMY!
Never mind the nutrition facts and all, HOW can someone not like broccoli?! I used to have broccoli as an ingredient when i was in sec sch too! =) And now, i can't live without broccoli! If there's steak and broccoli on the table, i honestly will choose broccoli over steak! Ya, i know it's a dumb move but then BROCCOLI is really nice la! Especially after blanching with boiled water and placing them in COLD water! it's like so crunchy! Good for the mouth exercise too! I am so in love with broccoli!

I don't mind having it as snack everyday or even having it as LUNCH DINNER or BREAKFAST! That's how nice it is! Even broccoli don't have any good nutritional value, I WILL STILL EAT IT! And enjoy it because it's so delicious! Many don't like it's smell because it kinda stink when it's raw. I think it's great half cooked (BUT NEVER OVERCOOK IT) and served with lemon juice! =0) Or raw with lemon juice and a pinch of salt! Oh my gosh! Thinking about it makes my mouth water! Although i finished 5/7 of a broccoli, I STILL want more! It's yummy!
=0)

Okay, since i LOVE broccoli, i am going to KNOW more about this LOVE! =0)

Broccoli is very nutritious, as is indicated by its dark green to purple color. It is rich in vitamins A and C, the B vitamins and the minerals; magnesium, iron, potassium and zinc. It is, also, a good source for folic acid. Broccoli is very low in calories, having 44 calories per cup - cooked, and 12 calories per cup - raw. Do not wash broccoli before storing as the excess moisture promotes the formation of mold. Broccoli can be tastefully prepared by serving raw, steamed or carefully boiled so as not to overcook, producing an unpleasant smell and degrading its nutritional value.

But still, eating in moderation is key! =0) BUT I STILL LOVE BROCCOLI! Among chocolates, ice cream, alcohol, steak and broccoli, I WILL CHOOSE BROCCOLI! =0) That's how much i love my broccoli! =0) Heeex!

Let's end of with the LOVE!

(*I took this from someone's Flickr. And the person's comments on it were: like most people i don't eat enough vegetables then i should. but funnily enough broccoli is actually a comfort food for me. steamed broccoli with lots of cheese always makes me feel better.*)
